TAIZE PRAYER We are going to relaunch this quiet service of meditative chants in Lent on the third Sunday of March (17th) at 6pm. It is a service that lasts about half an hour and includes, in addition to the simple prayerful chants, a reading, a short period of silence and some prayers.
HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL On Friday (25th) this memorial event, with a variety of speakers to illustrate this year's theme 'Torn From Home' will take place at the Wrexham Memorial Hall in Bodhyfryd. Exhibitions are available to view from 10.00am with the event starting at 10.30am finishing at 12.00pm. Food from the various cultures and countries affected by genocide will be available after the ceremony.
HELPING THE HOMELESS Your generosity towards the agencies who support the homeless in Wrexham is very much appreciated. Gifts of warm clothes and simple foods such as porridge pots and instant hot detnks are particularly welcome
TCC, of which we are all members, is hosting the launch of the campaign on Friday 1st February at Ty Pawb to make Wrexham a Town of Sanctuary, where displaced people can be safe. The Bishop, Ian Lucas MP, three Assembly Members and Young Leaders will be present. Tickets are free but need to be reserved.
