NOTICES


WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER   This service will take place here in St Giles’ on Friday 1st March at 11am , and will be followed by a light lunch.


ST DAVID’S CELEBRATION  Also on  Friday 1st March, we will celebrate our Patron Saint’s Day with a meal in the South Aisle. Tickets are £10 and include the first drink. Please sign up so that we can prepare appropriately.


ST GILES’ MEN’S SOCIETY  The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 5th March at the Ramada Hotel at 6.30 for 7pm. The meal is £12.50, and will precede a talk on “The World Heritage Canal”.   ALL MEN are invited. Please sign up on the list at the back of the Church, with payment by 25th February  to Roger Berry or Clive Hindley


QUIET DAY  This has been arranged for Wednesday 13th March at the St Augustine’s Priory in Colwyn Bay. It  will run from 10am  to 4pm and the cost is £10.  Please bring a packed lunch.  Heather can provide  more information.


COME AND SING!  Faure’s Requiem will be performed here at St Giles’ on Saturday 13th March.  The Rehearsal will take place at 1pm, and copies of the work will be available. The performance will take place at 6pm.  Tickets are £8 to participate in this splendid opportunity.


LENT COURSES  There will be two courses this year. On Wednesday evenings at 7.15pm, Jason will lead the Pilgrim course “Turning to Christ” which will focus on questions surrounding Baptism. On Thursday afternoons at 1pm the course will consist of sessions on the Nicene Creed and will include music by a variety of composers.


MICE FESTIVAL   This festival will open on Sunday 17th July and conclude on Sunday 1st September with a Pets’ Service.  There will be a Fun Day on Saturday  17th August which will include a Zip Wire experience for adventurous (knitted) mice. Watch this space for more details!
